Sixty
Miles Down is formed by friends John Mosco (lead vocals) and Pete
Dobrzanski (lead guitar). Goob (bass guitar) and Pat Marri (drums)
join later that year, completing the lineup. |

1999 -
|
The band starts playing live and continues
to write material. Andy Hurtt joins the band as the rhythm guitar
player. |

2000 -
|
Sixty Miles Down records a 4 song e.p.
Pat Marri leaves the band 6 months later. Long time friend of John
and Goob Ed Faust fills in on drums. |

2001 -
|
John, Pete, Goob and Andy begin working with old friend Brian Snell in a new project called Anger of the Lamb. SMD becomes Brian's rhythem section with John on Drums and Brian on lead vocals.SMD and Anger of the Lamb both begin recording albums in November. Due to scheduling conflicts, Ed is unavailable for recording, so John fills in on drums for both albums. |

2002 -
|
Chris Mclaughlin becomes SMD's new full time drummer in January. The band releases Sink or Swim, their first full length album, in September. Later that year, tensions mount as members of the band are dividing their time between both Anger of the Lamb and SMD. Finally, in November, SMD disbands and John begins searching for new musicians. |

2003 -

Dave Chisholm (lead guitar) and Eric
Bergmann (bass) join the band in May. |

2004 -
|
Guitarist Roger Manzo joins the band
in January. Ed Faust sits in on drums again while SMD continues the
search for a new drummer. The band books their first show in over
a year. The date is April 15th at the Wreck Room in Wallington, NJ.
In May, Mauricio Kowalczuk joins SMD on drums completing the new line
up. The Band also has a song from Sink or Swim placed in an extreme
sports dvd titled Thunderstruck III by a company called Big Sky Xtreme

2005 -

In May of 2005 SMD release the follow up to their
2002 release Sink or Swim with a six song e.p. titled A New Skin.
The band is featured on two more dvd releases by Big Sky Xtreme called
Thunderstruck 4.5 and Thunderstruck 5. Selections from A New Skin
are used. |

2006 -
|
In August of 2006 Dave, Eric, and Mauricio
decide to leave Sixty Miles Down to start a new project in a heavier
musical direction than SMD. In September Chris Della Santi joins SMD
on drums and Jeff Mayer joins on guitar. Joining on bass guitar is
original SMD bass player Goob. December 2nd at a club called Dingbatz
marks the first show with the new line up. |

2007 -
|
Things do not work out with Jeff so
he is temporarily replaced by former SMD guitarist Dave Chisholm.
Duringthe summer a gentleman by the name of Mig joins the band as
the second ld/rhythm guitar player. The band rehearses with Mig and
begins working on some new material. |

2008 -
|
The band plays a handful of shows with
Mig but once again things start to go downhill. As the band begins
preparation for the recording of their new cd Roger Manzo leaves the
band to pursue other interests and take care of personal issues. Shortly
after unable to agree on a musical direction Mig leaves the band.

2009 -
|
Drummer Chris Della Santi leaves the
band early in the year to focus on finishing college.SMD bassist Goob,
recently diagnosed with M.S., leaves the band to focus on his health.
Singer John Mosco continues to write and begins piecing the band back
together(again). A demo of a brand new song called "Burned"
is released. Sixty Miles Down joins Jango.com receiving a great response
from people all over the globe. The song A New Skin hits the number
1 slot on songvault.com's hard rock charts. In September Roger Manzo
re-joins the band. John is interviewed on treble radio and xtrememetalradio.com. |

2010 -
|
Sixty Miles Down has numerous songs charting on sites such as ourstage.com, songvault.fm, and broadjam.com. The song Talking To a Deadman is featured on Mike Cameo's indies top ten radio show in February. Also Adam Young joins the band on bass that same month. The band is currently trying to figure out a way to build a drummer out of paper clips and clay and record a new album which they have been trying to do for the past 3 years. Singer John Mosco hopes to have a new album out by summer 2059. |
